Are those teapots and cups not the most adorable things that you have ever seen?  Or at least in the top 10? (more…)

The Official HAH Coffee Frappe Punch Recipe

29 August 2008

macchiato

The other day Cindy left me a comment about a recipe I had not thought of in years.  I know her from a homeschooling board that we both were on a long time ago..in fact, when I started posting on that board I only had 5 children, and the 5th one was 2 months old.  She is 12 now.

Anyway, that’s one of the blessings of long term friendships, having people remind you of things..

Darjeeling & Chocolate Pie

27 August 2008

 darjeeling chocolate pie

I am so not kidding. This was awesome.  Except for the messed up meringue which I will explain in due time….

I love when the seasons change.  We don’t get much of that here until MAYBE late October..for a week or so…but I have fond and vivid memories of my childhood on the east coast.

In fact one year, Marc (who is from Mass.) and I wistfully watched a lone, dead leaf spin to the ground and Marc quipped, “Look.   Fall!”

But…Like Anne of  Green Gables we can imagine anything we like. Imagining autumn with a tea is a wonderful way to celebrate it, and get yourself in the mood, don’t you think? (more…)

 teapot

Have you noticed how many virtual tea  rooms are popping up all over the internet?

They carry everything from teapots to scones, custom blended tea to tea cozies.  It seems odd to me in a way, and in another very exciting.

Let me explain. (more…)
